Salary: MP Year 1-9 $336,466 - $427,886 p.a. pro rata or $644.98 - $820.23 per session (inclusive of base salary and applicable allowances)

We are currently seeking General Medicine Consultant Physicians to join our team at Rockingham General Hospital.
Applicants with dual training in subspeciality are welcome to apply.
This is a recruitment pool for sessional, casual, permanent full time, permanent part time, fixed term full time, and fixed term part time appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
As a General Medicine Consultant Physician you will:
- Lead the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist medical services to patients
- Promote patient safety and quality of care
- Provide leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners and other health workers
- In collaboration with the Head of Department and other Consultants, work to achieve national, state and SMHS performance standards and targets
- Work within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the SMHS Area Medical Credentialing Committee.

Are you eligible? To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector is essential that you are an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
