This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointment for 6 or 12 months.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2024. 


Position Profile: 
The WA Inter-hospital Advanced Training Programme in Nephrology offers the opportunity for six and twelve month rotations in Nephrology, for Trainees registered with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) for Advanced Training in Nephrology, dual Advanced Training in Nephrology and General Medicine or Advanced Training in General Medicine. Limited positions may also be available to applicants enrolled with other Specialty Training Programmes or to overseas applicants who are currently enrolled in an equivalent Nephrology Advanced Training Programme and wish to gain further experience and Nephrology Training in Australia.  This programme provides comprehensive training in all aspects of Nephrology and renal Transplantation. In addition, this job also provides the opportunity to gain exposure in treating remote aboriginal patients with Chronic Kidney disease.

Current WA Nephrology trainees will need to apply through a separate process for continuation of their training.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH)
 is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.

Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical service including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.
