This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Part-Time or Full-Time appointments for 12-24 months with the possibility of extension(s).
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/07/2025.
Position Profile:
We are seeking to appoint Toxicology Fellows to our Toxicology Service. In this role you will fulfill the workplace-based and on-call requirements over 12 months (at 1.0 FTE) or 24 months (at 0.5 FTE) to become a Clinical Toxicologist. Completion of an AHPRA-recognised primary specialty training program is required prior to commencement of Toxicology sub-specialty training.
You will provide and promote high quality and patient centred care to inpatients and outpatients of the Toxicology Service, and assist with the provision of a statewide telephone based consultation service, under the supervision of Consultant Toxicology staff. You will also be required to provide training, supervision and education for Registrars, Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) and Interns. You will additionally contribute to toxicology publications, audits and research projects, and improve patient outcomes through the development of clinical pathways and public health alerts. In collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, you will work to achieve National, State and East Metropolitan Health Service performance standards and the National Safety and Quality Healthcare Standards.
