In this role, you will provide clinical leadership, advice, consultation, liaison and support to infants, children, adolescents and families/carers, health care professionals, and other providers and agencies throughout the regions of WACHS in a virtual capacity.

What is ICAMHS?

Virtual ICAMHS is a specialised clinical mental health service to infants and children discharged from WACHS regional health services (emergency departments, nursing posts, Aboriginal medical services and remote area clinics). Using audio-visual and telephone modalities, the team will conduct comprehensive assessments and provide brief contact intervention to children and adolescents (0-18 years), including their families and carers. The model of care for this service will include offering and providing aftercare support to children and adolescents and their families and carers, following the initial presentation and while transitioning to community mental health supports. The service works closely with the seven regional ICAMH services across WACHS to coordinate and facilitate timely, responsive, and accessible care to our communities.
