This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointment for 6 or 12 months, with possibility of extension(s).
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2024.
Position Profile:
The General Medicine Registrar provides a high-quality clinical service to hospital patients. The incumbent will work under the supervision of the physicians and within a multi-disciplinary team to review the general medical needs of the patients. They will provide teaching and support to Resident Medical Officers and Interns as well as nursing and allied health staff. This position offers State-wide advanced training, rotating through WA teaching hospitals, peripheral and country hospitals and private hospitals.

Home to the State Major Adult Trauma Service, RPH offers tertiary-level emergency medicine, mental health, complex and elective surgical care, and specialist medical services. Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical service including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.
