Position Profile:
Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital’s Medical Imaging Department is seeking enthusiastic and highly qualified Radiology Fellows to join our team for the 2026 intake. Positions available include:
Our department is a leader in diagnostic and interventional radiology services, operating across three sites:
Equipped with state-of-the-art imaging technology, we offer comprehensive services and perform a wide range of interventional procedures, particularly in oncology, hepatobiliary, urological, thoracic, and musculoskeletal specialties. We are also an accredited training and education provider with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR).
Each Fellow will have the opportunity to:
Interventional Radiology Fellow: This role focuses solely on interventional procedures, including liver interventions, tumor ablation/embolization, catheter and line insertions, and angiography/angioplasty.
Body Imaging Fellow: This is a flexible, general fellowship tailored to subspecialty interests, including oncology, hepatobiliary, urology, cardiothoracic, musculoskeletal, and gynaecology. Opportunities for imaging-guided procedures are also available.
Breast Fellow: Regular exposure to standard breast imaging diagnostic and interventional/localisation modalities, as well as exposure to contrast enhanced mammography and MRI (including MRI guided biopsy). The Breast Radiology services is embedded in a collaborative multidisciplinary team unit encompassing Breast Surgeons, Breast Physicians, Pathologists and allied health staff.

Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical service including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.
Osborne Park Hospital (OPH) is a > 200 bed secondary hospital offering a range of health services including a maternity and gynaecology unit (a satellite site of Women and Newborn Health Service) that provides obstetric care and gynaecology with low to moderate risk pregnancies, the Geriatric Acute and Rehabilitation Medicine service, and elective surgeries and procedures.
