MP Year 1-7 $139,932 to $186,790 p.a.
*includes base salary $115,028 to $157,053 pa, professional development allowance $10,472 pa and 11.5% employer contributed superannuation.
Senior Registrar Year 1-2, $204,757 to $214,046 pa*
*includes base salary $168,679 to $177,010 pa, professional development allowance $14,960 pa and 11.5% employer contributed superannuation.
Full time (80 hours per fortnight) salary as per WA Health System Medical Practitioners AMA Industrial Agreement 2022. Rates as of 1 July 2023.
Please note your level will be assessed based on your years of experience.
Fixed Term Full Time appointment for 12-months commencing in February and August 2025, with the possibility of extension(s).

POSITION PROFILE
If you have an interest in providing anaesthetics as part of your Rural Generalist medical practice, then this post will provide experience and training requirements that enable the successful candidate to become an accredited RG Anaesthetist (AC-RGA certification).
The Department of Anaesthesia at Kalgoorlie Health Campus is a small but busy operating department with recent accreditation for Rural Generalist Anaesthesia (RGA) training, offering high quality anaesthetic experience across a full range of district hospital specialties including obstetrics and paediatrics.
Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to rural or remote medicine. You will work alongside 8 Consultant level independent practitioners (both FANZCA and DRGA) and 1 Registrar and there is ample opportunity to gain good quality and quantity of anaesthetic volume of practice. To go along with this, the successful applicant needs to be well motivated, organised, and adaptable to working in a flexible role.
The Kalgoorlie Anaesthetic department provides generalist services across a wide range of settings in the health campus, including the High Dependency Unit which offers great opportunities for exposure to critical care in the RG setting and preparation for a Rural Generalist Anaesthetist.

REGION PROFILE
The Goldfields region of the WA Country Health Service covers the Goldfields-Esperance Region of Western Australia. The region is located in the south eastern corner of Western Australia and covers 770,488 sq km (including offshore islands). The WA Country Health Service Goldfields consists of two main health campuses located in Kalgoorlie & Esperance, and three smaller hospitals located in Laverton, Leonora and Norseman. The Goldfields is a culturally rich region with a number of Aboriginal communities spread out across the region, 16 distinct Aboriginal language groups and an Aboriginal population that represents 12.3 per cent of our total population, with 1 in 10 people, on average, identifying as Aboriginal – this in comparison to the state average of 3.6 per cent.
