Registrar - Trainee - Nephrology

The WA Inter-hospital Advanced Training Program in Nephrology offers the opportunity for six- and twelve-month rotations in Nephrology, for Trainees registered with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) for Advanced Training in Nephrology, dual Advanced Training in Nephrology and General Medicine or Advanced Training in General Medicine. Limited positions may also be available to applicants enrolled with other Specialty Training Programmes or to overseas applicants (subject to RACP and Medical Board approvals) who are currently enrolled in an equivalent Nephrology Advanced Training Programme and wish to gain further experience and Nephrology Training in Australia.  This programme provides comprehensive training in all aspects of Nephrology, including Dialysis and Acute Kidney Transplantation. In addition, this job also provides research opportunity and the opportunity to gain exposure in treating remote Aboriginal patients with Chronic Kidney disease.

Fellow - General Surgery (Colorectal)

Provide extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of Colorectal disorders. The Fellow is responsible for the day-to-day management of all patients admitted into Royal Perth Hospital under the Colorectal Service. The Fellow is also responsible for reviewing patients in the Outpatient Department and for reviewing and managing emergency Colorectal consults and admissions and will participate in the ASU on call roster. The fellow will participate in the weekly MDT unit. The Fellow will be involved in research, audit and teaching. The Fellow will be directly responsible to the Fellowship Supervisors throughout the Fellowship. He/she will work under the supervision of the FRACS & CSSANZ qualified Colorectal Surgeons. The Fellow will be responsible for organizing and coordinating the weekly MDT unit. The Fellow will be involved in research, audit and teaching. The Fellow will be directly responsible to the Fellowship Supervisors throughout the Fellowship. The Fellow will have the opportunity to learn and perform advanced open and minimal invasive surgery and gain exposure to robotic colorectal surgery under supervision.
