South Metropolitan Health Services 2026 Mid-Year and 2027 Registrar Intake for Registrar - Service - Psychiatry at Fremantle Hospital.

Currently we are seeking suitably experienced applicant(s) to the position of Registrar – Service – Medical Education to join the Clinical Services / Medical Education Unit. This position liaises with and builds professional relationships with medical staff in order to provide support and advice and develops and evaluates interprofessional education (IPE) and interprofessional practice (IPP), involving medical staff. Furthermore, this position offers a balanced opportunity of 50% educational duties and 50% clinical responsibilities, with clinical components chosen by Registrars based on availability at RGH.

We offer permanent and fixed-term opportunities, with possibility of extensions and/or permanency. These roles are available on a sessional, full-time or part-time basis. Job-share arrangements may be considered.

The Medical Co-Director works in partnership with the Nursing Co-Director to provide effective leadership, governance, strategic planning and operational management of the clinical stream within the Directorate and supports all staff within the Directorate to provide high-quality and efficient patient care, consistent with the Hospital’s safety, quality and performance frameworks.

This placement provides enhanced exposure to primary care and palliative care in a setting that reflects both metropolitan and regional healthcare needs, within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. This is a distinctive opportunity to experience community-based care in an outer metropolitan setting and gain insight into the interface between hospital and community services prior to making a vocational decision.
