This placement provides enhanced exposure to primary care and palliative care in a setting that reflects both metropolitan and regional healthcare needs, within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. 2027 General Practice Community Residency Program
The General Practice Community Residency Program (GP-CRP) offers Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) an opportunity to experience healthcare from the community perspective, following patients beyond episodic hospital care and gaining insight into the management of acute, chronic and preventive health needs. This term provides exposure to the breadth of presentations seen in general practice and fosters a greater understanding of how primary care influences patient outcomes, health system utilisation and long-term wellbeing.
