WA Country Health Service (WACHS) offers a wide range of professional development opportunities tailored to your stage of training or career. This includes access to:

  • Accredited training positions for medical students, interns, residents, registrars, and fellows across various specialties, including Emergency Medicine, Rural Generalism, Obstetrics, Anaesthetics, Paediatrics and more.
  • Supervised clinical experience with support from senior clinicians and educators.
  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD) through workshops, simulation-based training, peer review, and online learning.
  • Rural-specific programs such as the Rural Generalist Pathway, Basic Physician Training (RACP – Adult Internal Medicine), ASPIRE (Surgical), RAPTOR (Pre-Physician), Community Residency Program and advanced skills training.
