This is for 2 fixed term, sessional appointments, for 5 years at 4 sessions per fortnight (0.2 FTE each), with the possibility of extension(s). 
 
Commencement date from 3rd August 2026 (negotiable).
 
Position Profile: We are seeking two experienced and motivated Paediatricians to provide clinical leadership and strategic oversight of the Safety Team After-Hours Response Service (STARS) at Perth Children’s Hospital.

STARS delivers a coordinated, multidisciplinary response to clinical review and deterioration across inpatient services after hours. The Clinical Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality, safe and responsive care, supported by strong systems of clinical governance and risk management.
 
Key responsibilities:

• Support the PCH STARS team to meet clinical requirements, including managing the professional development and performance of the medical and nursing workforce to ensure high standards of paediatric care across CAHS. 
• Contribute to continuously improving services and effective use of resources
• Undertake projects and/or research directly related to the delivery of the service.

CAHS is made up four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH).
