Salary: MP Year 1-9 $352,448 - $448,210 p.a. pro rata or $675.62 - $859.19 per session (inclusive of base salary and applicable allowances)

As the flagship hospital, Rockingham General is focused on providing high quality general medical, surgical and mental health services as well as outpatient care. Murray District Hospital offers inpatient medical services, palliative care and allied health services.

We are currently seeking Emergency Medicine Consultants to join our team at Rockingham General Hosptial. 

This is a recruitment pool for permanent full time, permanent part time, fixed term full time, fixed term part time, casual and sessional appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist emergency medicine services to patients
  • Promote patient safety and quality of care
  • Provide leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for Doctors in Training, health service medical practitioners and other health workers
  • In collaboration with the Head of Department and other Consultants, you will work to achieve national, state and SMHS performance standards and targets and works within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the SMHS Area Medical Credentialing Committee (AMCC).
