This is a recruitment process for Permanent Part-Time / Fixed Term Part-Time / Sessional appointments for up to 0.325 FTE (26 hours or 6.5 sessions per fortnight) with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
Fiona Stanley Hospital is seeking an experienced Consultant - Paediatric - General Surgery to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist surgical services to patients. Promotes patient safety and quality of care. Provides leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners and other health workers. In collaboration with the Head of Specialty and other Consultants works to achieve national, state and SMHS performance standards and targets. Works within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the SMHS Area Medical Credentialing Committee.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
SMHS delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and health services within a catchment area stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth.
