This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Permanent Sessional, Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time, and Fixed Term Sessional appointments with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

We currently have Permanent Sessional appointments at 32 hours/ 8 sessions per fortnight (0.4 FTE)

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2026.

Position Profile:  

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Radiologist to join our Medical Imaging team based at Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) with preferred experience in Musculoskeletal Imaging and Interventional Radiology.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will provide specialist Cardiac and Chest Imaging expertise to patients within the department and provide a consultation service on request for other patients.

The successful candidates will:

  • Undertake clinical shifts in the Department at the direction of the Clinical Director/Head of Department including:
    • Participation on the general diagnostic on-call/after-hours/weekend roster.
    • Willingness to contribute to the Paediatric interventional radiology on-call roster
  • Accept appropriate referrals from doctors both internal and external to PCH.
  • Take a leadership and mentoring role for doctors in training and others within the Department.
  • Manage and co-ordinate the sarcoma, orthopaedic and rheumatology MDTs at PCH.
  • Conduct clinical review and clinical management of patients referred to outpatient services.
  • Perform other duties as outlined in the Consultant-Paediatric-Radiology Job Description From (JDF).

Preferred candidate will have a minimum of 12 months post fellowship experience in musculoskeletal and/or interventional radiology with a specific focus on image guided procedures.

In the roles of Consultant-Paediatric-Radiology, you will provide diagnostic imaging services to patients referred to the Medical Imaging Department at Perth Children’s Hospital, and to patients at King Edward Memorial Hospital under the terms of any existing service level agreement (SLA).
