This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointment, with the possibility of extension(s).

Position Profile:  We are advertising, to fill 4 of ICAMHS Medical Co-Director Community roles to provide leadership across the ICAMHS Network. Positions are available across the Community ICAMHS North, South and East Area Networks, which includes all community locations in CAMHS, as well as within our Statewide service.

In collaboration with the Service Co-Director, the Medical Co-Director Community ICAMHS and Statewide ICAMHS supports operational leadership and provides clinical governance oversight for the delivery of across the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) within the assigned directorate. The Medical Co-Director Community ICAMHS also provides professional oversight for clinicians working across CAMHS within multidisciplinary teams.

As a member of the CAMHS Executive Team, the Medical Co-Director Community ICAMHS provides strategic and transformational leadership to support the achievement of CAMHS performance objectives and high standards of clinical practice. This includes contributing to the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans, policy, education programs, research activities and service improvement initiatives.

The role is expected to maintain an approximate split of 0.5 FTE clinical and 0.5 FTE administrative responsibilities.

About the services:

Community CAMHS

Community CAMHS has 3 Area Networks, comprised of 9 locations across the metropolitan area. Community CAMHS see infants, children and adolescents with various mental illnesses resulting in significant impact upon their functioning. We would work with you to match you to a service area that suits your circumstances. 

North Area Network includes locations in Clarkson, Hilary’s, Warwick and Shenton. 

East Area Network includes locations in Midland and Armadale. 

South Area Network includes locations in Murdoch, Rockingham and Peel. 

State-wide Services

State-wide services are comprised of specialised Tier 4 services, providing specialised mental health services to young people and families across the state.  These services include: the Gender Diversity Service, the Eating Disorder Service, the Complex ADHD Service, Pathways Day Program, Touchstone/EUPD Service.
