Please note this is for the 2026 Rehabilitation Medicine Registrar intake.
This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Part Time 0.5 FTE appointment for 6 or 12 months.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2025.
Position Profile:
The registrar provides high-quality clinical care to inpatients within the Royal Perth Bentley Group, either as part of the WA Inter-Hospital Advanced Training Program in Rehabilitation Medicine or in a service registrar role. The primary responsibility is to assess and triage referrals from Royal Perth Hospital to Fiona Stanley Hospital and Bentley Hospital for inpatient rehabilitation.
Additional duties include providing advice to inpatient specialty teams on rehabilitation suitability and discharge planning, as well as teaching and supporting Resident Medical Officers (RMOs), interns, and medical students both on rehabilitation rotations and across the hospital.
The registrar works under the supervision of a Rehabilitation Consultant within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring alignment with National, State, and East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) performance standards, and the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
