Salary: MP Year 1-7 $120,492 - $164,513 p.a

This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 6 or 12 months with the possibility of extension(s).

Appointments for this position will not usually commence until February 2026. 

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/09/2025.


Position Profile:
Positions are available as part of the PathWest Anatomical Pathology training program. Medical Practitioners committed to entering or continuing in a training program in Anatomical Pathology and who have appropriate qualifications registrable in WA are invited to apply to the 2026 training program. PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA provides a comprehensive, best practice Anatomical Pathology service to WA tertiary hospitals, private practices and regional areas throughout the state of WA. All positions in the program are accredited for training to attain Fellowship of the RCPA.

Positions are located at the major teaching hospitals in metropolitan Perth and are part of a rotating inter-hospital training system. Successful applicants will be allocated to an appointment at one or more PathWest laboratories associated with tertiary hospitals in Perth including Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital, Perth Children’s Hospital (tertiary Paediatrics) and King Edward Memorial Hospital (tertiary Obstetrics/Gynaecology). The rotation scheme may also include secondments to the State Mortuary (QEII Medical Centre) and some private pathology laboratories (Western Diagnostic Pathology and Clinipath Pathology).
