Fixed Term Full Time appointments will be available for 12 months with the possibility of extension(s).

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 28/09/2025.


Position Profile:
The role of Surgery Fellow covers the Upper GI (HPB and Transplant) Unit at Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) and within South Metropolitan Health Service. As a successful applicant you will be responsible for admitting and managing patients for the Upper GI (HPB and Transplant) Unit, General Surgery in normal hours and approximately 1 in 6 (on-call) out of hours. In addition to this, you will be required to supervise SET and Service Registrars, Resident Medical Officers and Interns under the direction of the Upper GI General Surgery Consultants.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH)
 is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.

Fremantle Hospital (FH) is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services.
