 This is a Recruitment Pool for the 2027 Ultrasound Fellow intake at King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH)

 Fixed Term Full Time appointments are available for 6-12 months with the possibility of extension(s).

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/01/2027. 


Position Profile: 
The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Clinical Care Unit at King Edward Memorial Hospital are seeking enthusiastic and suitably qualified applicants to join their team as Ultrasound Fellow. In this role you will obtain advanced training in the ultrasound evaluation of the obstetrics and gynaecology patient. You will participate in research activities based on the evolution knowledge in obstetrics and gynaecologic ultrasound and affiliated areas. You will also participate in general continuing educational activities, postgraduate training programmes for junior medical staff and teaching programs for undergraduate medical students particularly in obstetrics and gynaecology.

Area Profile:
The Women and Newborn Health Service provides clinical care to women and families. It comprises King Edward Memorial Hospital, the Maternity Unit at Osborne Park Hospital and other specialist health services.

The Women and Newborn Services at Osborne Park Hospital merged with WNHS in 2020. The new service became part of the overall Women and Newborn Health Service. The merging of the two services created a synergy for women’s healthcare options, encouraging greater opportunity for cross-site communication and collaboration. The new service is an additional pregnancy care option for women, all governed by WNHS.

Established in 1916, KEMH is the State’s largest maternity hospital and the only referral centre for complex, high acuity pregnancies in WA.
