This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time appointments for 6-12 months with the possibility of extension(s).
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 20/11/2026.
Position Profile:
We are seeking highly motivated Resident Medical Officers (PGY3 or more) with a strong interest in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to join our busy tertiary unit, servicing Southern Metropolitan Areas with approximately 4000 deliveries/year.
The successful candidate will join a unit with a longstanding history of support to future doctors interested in pursuing in career in Obstetrics & Gynaecology as part of a dedicated program that facilitates your growth within the discipline.
Applicants with previous experience in O&G (at least 6 months experience) and longer commitment are desired. Successful candidates will have opportunities to gain and improve skills in obstetrics & gynaecology including operative skills under the supervision of clinical supervisors including Registrars, Consultants and other senior staff within a multidisciplinary team.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
Our unit is a tertiary obstetrics unit located within the largest quaternary campus in Western Australia. It is a RANZCOG accredited training unit for ITP registrars (Core & Advanced) and DRANZCOG trainees. We provide care to a wide range of complex maternal conditions within a well-established maternal cardiology and renal units in Western Australia. Furthermore we offer a dedicated O&G mentoring program that will help you navigate through your future O&G career journey.

✔ Clinical experience as a registered medical practitioner in an Australian hospital (or comparable setting).
