About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual become the Director of Psychiatry Training with the East Metropolitan Health Service. This is a five (5) year contract working 64 hours per fortnight based in the Perth CBD.
In this position, the successful applicant will provide leadership on matters relating to psychiatry training, administrative staff, clinical supervisors, and directors of clinical services for mental health, in addition to holding responsibility for EMHS' Psychiatry Training. Other key duties include, but are not limited to;
- Liaising with Trainees and hospital/department administration regarding matters related to training as well as with Education Support Officers, and the College Office and the Department of Health.
- Organisation and management of training, education, and human relations.
Registration by the Medical Board of Australia in the speciality of Psychiatry, and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, is a strict prerequisite for appointment to the position.
