This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Part Time, Permanent Sessional, Fixed Term Part Time, Fixed Term Sessional and Casual appointments with the possibility of extension(s) and/ or permanency. 

Position Profile: Help us care for the staff who care for the children and families of WA. As a key member of the Work Health Safety and Wellbeing (WHSW) team at CAHS the Occupational Physician has an important role as part of the multidisciplinary team supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of all staff at CAHS.

The CAHS WHSW, Occupational Physician provides expert clinical assessments of functional capacity for work and advice on complex work health and safety (WHS) matters. The role requires advanced skills in communication and negotiation with staff and their managers, supporting problem solving by balancing operational need and functional outcomes. Working together as part of a team that supports every CAHS worker to bring their best self to work to provide high quality care.

About Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH): is Western Australia's specialist paediatric hospital and trauma centre, with 298 beds. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre, PCH offers primary care for severe medical cases and secondary services such as inpatient, outpatient, and day-stay care. These services are provided in the community across the Perth metropolitan area at community health centres, in schools, home visits and through telehealth appointments. Services focus on child health, growth and development, behaviour, immunisation and supporting families. 

The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is proud to be the leading service provider for paediatric healthcare in Western Australia, as the State’s only dedicated health service for infants, children and young people. CAHS is made up four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH). Consisting of over 6,500 employees, our services are delivered at PCH and King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH), as well as across a network of more than 160 community clinics across the metropolitan area.
