Salary: MP Year 1-9 $352,448 - $448,210 p.a. pro rata or $675.62 - $859.19 per session (inclusive of base salary and applicable allowances)
We are currently seeking General Medicine Consultant Physicians to join our team at Peel Health Campus. Various hours and work types are available.
This is a recruitment pool for sessional, permanent full time, permanent part time, fixed term full time, fixed term part time and casual appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
We currently have one (1) full time vacancy (1.0 FTE) available to be filled immediately. This can be filled on a permanent or fixed term basis.
As a General Medicine Consultant Physician, you will:
- Lead the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist internal medicine services to patients
- Promote patient safety and quality of care.
- Provide leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners and other health workers.
- In collaboration with the Head of Department and other Consultants works to achieve national, state and SMHS performance standards and targets.
- Work within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the SMHS Area Medical Credentialing Committee.

Peel Health Campus is a general hospital located in the City of Mandurah, 75 km south of Perth on the doorstep of the south-west, known for its stunning beaches, internationally significant wetlands, and some of Australia’s most spectacular waterways for boating, fishing and wildlife. It originally opened in 1988 as the 32-bed Mandurah District Hospital, and now operates with 206 licenced beds, bays and treatment areas.
