Country Health Service (WACHS) is seeking experienced Consultant Physician Geriatrics to join the team in South West Region
This is a Recruitment Pool to fill Permanent (Full-Time, Part-Time or Sessional) and/or Fixed Term (Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time) appointments for 5 years and with possibility of extension(s). Closing Monday 29 June 2026.
MP Year 1-9 $412,161 - $523,436 p.a.* Full time (80 hours per fortnight).
*Inclusive of base salary, 12% superannuation and professional development allowance as per WA Health System Medical Practitioners AMA Industrial Agreement 2024.

About the Role
As a Consultant Physician in Geriatric Medicine, you will deliver specialist geriatric services across the South West Region of Western Australia. You will play a key leadership role in developing and delivering:
- Day Therapy services
- Rehabilitation in the Home
- A Rehabilitation/Restorative Care Unit at Bunbury Hospital
You will also contribute to:
- Ortho-geriatric services
- Rehabilitation services at Busselton Hospital
The service spans both inpatient and community settings and works closely with the South West Regional Aged Care Team, including the Aged Care Assessment Team.

Bunbury Hospital is a 171-bed public facility, co-located with St John of God Bunbury Hospital, forming part of the South West Health Campus—the largest health complex in regional Western Australia. It consists of 39 beds including ED ambulatory care and Short Stay Unit. The department receives in excess of 45,000 presentations per year of whom approximately 40 per cent require admission. Case-mix, including acuity and activity is highly varied. Our patients are younger than many tertiary sites with 25 per cent being children.
The hospital provides care to over 80,000 residents and visitors and is undergoing a $471.5 million redevelopment, including:
