Fellow - Orthopaedic Surgery (Paediatrics)

This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 12 months with the possibility of extension(s).

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/10/2026.


Position Profile: 
The successful applicant will join a department of 14 orthopaedic surgeons and 9 junior/trainee medical staff, working at a level between senior trainee and junior consultant.

They are expected to offer guidance and advice to junior team members commensurate with their level of experience and participate in all departmental activities including teaching, audit, research and clinical care.

The Fellow will gain exposure to all aspects of paediatric orthopaedic surgery including, supervised trauma operating and fracture clinics and elective clinic and theatre exposure in foot and ankle, sports knee, limb deformity, DDH and hip preservation, cerebral palsy and neuromuscular, wrist, elbow and shoulder, spinal deformity and sarcoma.

Participation in a regular JMO on-call roster is optional, and the daily roster may be negotiated to prioritise specific areas of clinical interest or skill development.
