This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Appointments up to 32 hours with the possibility of extension(s).
Position Profile:
Provides clinical governance leadership and accountability for clinical services within the CAHS-CH Aboriginal Health Team (AHT) while maintaining a professional reporting relationship to Consultant Paediatrician – Community Child Health. Promotes the medical health and wellbeing of children, families and Aboriginal community groups including a range of health promotion/education and support strategies focusing on the social determinants of health. Provides basic medical checks and effective and efficient preventative and early intervention treatment programs to individuals and groups. Works as a team member of a multi-disciplinary team, to provide medical assessment and management services for Aboriginal children as required in community locations. Please note throughout this document the word Aboriginal will be inclusive of Torres Strait Islander persons.
