Providing accredited Mental Health Services in one of the state’s largest mental health facilities, and our brand-new facility in Cockburn; our employment opportunities are unique within Western Australia and offer something different to enthusiastic Vocationally Registered General Practitioners.
In particular, we’re looking for Vocationally Registered General Practitioners with interests and experience in women’s mental health (incl. pregnant women, post-partum, and perinatal mental health services), eating disorder services, neurodiversity, alcohol and other drug services, behavioural addiction; to work across our two Fiona Stanley Hospital sites in Murdoch and Cockburn.

Fiona Stanley Hospital is set in the heart of Murdoch, just 15 minutes from Fremantle and from Perth CBD. It is a busy, tertiary teaching hospital with state-of-the-art facilities and access to modern technology, facilitating the very best of patient care and championing innovation. FSH has the first integrated mental and addiction services in Western Australia, and the first gaming disorder clinic in Australia.
The hospital is surrounded by leading health research and education facilities – including Murdoch University, St John of God Hospital and an on -site medical research facility operated by the Western Australian Institute of Medical Research. FSH is well serviced by public transport, has its own childcare facilities and easy access to prime residential areas and excellent schools.
Cockburn Health is a new purpose-built Mental Health facility is in Cockburn which has 75 beds, a day hospital and outpatient clinics. There will be two women’s only wards and one ward for withdrawal management from alcohol and other drugs, gaming disorder and social media addiction.
Both of these sites provide specialist services and leadership opportunities with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, senior medical practitioners, General Practitioners, Registrars and other junior medical doctors.
