Inside the RAPTOR experience
Dr Ashley Oates, a past participant, shares how RAPTOR helped shape her medical career:
"My RAPTOR experience in Albany was invaluable, both professionally and personally. I gained early exposure to a broad scope of medicine while deepening my understanding of rural healthcare."
"The program provided priority access to leadership training, Advanced Life Support courses, and a Clinical Service Improvement (CSI) term, where I focused on improving delirium identification and management."
"One of the greatest benefits of rural training is the direct and consistent supervision from senior clinicians."
"The consultants actively supported my learning, identified research opportunities, and helped strengthen my CV. Additionally, the hands-on experience in decision-making at a registrar level significantly enhanced my clinical confidence."
