2027 WA HEALTH ANNUAL CENTRALISED RECRUITMENT POOL
This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full-Time, Fixed Term Part-Time (with the possibility of extension) Resident Medical Officer (RMOs) and Service Medical Registrar (SMRs) appointments, commencing from January 2027.

Effective from 3 September 2026:
Resident Medical Officer Full Time Year 1 – 3 from $121,360 – 144,166 pa
Service Registrar Full Time Year 1 – 7 from $155,932- $208,619 pa
Inclusive of superannuation (12%) and professional development allowance as per WA Health System – Medical Practitioners – AMA Industrial Agreement 2024.
About the Role
We are recruiting suitably qualified Resident Medical Officers and Service Medical Registrars for metropolitan and rural & remote areas of Western Australia – choose your own adventure!
The roles available will be a choice of these Hospital and Health Providers:
- Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospital Group
- Joondalup Health Campus
- King Edward Memorial Hospital
- Perth Children’s Hospital
- Royal Perth Bentley Group
- Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Group
- St John of God Health Care – Midland, Subiaco or Murdoch
- WA Country Health Service – multiple rural locations

About you
- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Eligible to work in Australia; and
- Demonstrated clinical and procedural experience as a registered medical practitioner for a minimum of 6 months in an Australian acute hospital or comparable acute hospital setting (setting listed in the selection criteria) within the last 3 years
An Australian acute hospital setting is defined as a clinically accredited, multi-day stay facility that provides one or more disciplines of medicine, surgery, emergency medicine, paediatrics, women’s health and mental health care. Outpatient clinics or overnight stay facilities do not meet this criterion.

- Evidence of registration or evidence of eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. For example:
- Ahpra number; or
- AMC MCQ & Aphra accepted English Language test; or
- Competent Authority country Medical Degree or PLAB 1 & 2
- Specialist College assessment report
- Minimum two recent Referee details with confirmed and current contact details entered
- A copy of your primary medical degree
- AMC Part 2 Clinical exam (if completed)
