This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Sessional appointment at up to 40 hours per fortnight (0.5 FTE) for 6 months with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

Other Conditions:  WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. Referees may also be asked to comment on an applicant’s integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2025. 

Position Profile: As part of a multidisciplinary team, this position leads the provision of Oto-rhino-laryngology services to patients. It promotes patient safety and quality of care and provides leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners and other health workers. In collaboration with the Medical / Service Co-Director, Head of Department and other Consultants you will work to achieve national, state and EMHS performance standards and targets and work within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the EMHS Area Medical Credentialing Committee.

Home to the State Major Adult Trauma Service, RPH offers tertiary-level emergency medicine, mental health, complex and elective surgical care, and specialist medical services.
