This is a recruitment pool for Permanent and Fixed Term sessional and casual appointments with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
We currently have:
0.2 FTE available on a Permanent sessional basis at 4 sessions per fortnight.
0.5 FTE available on a Fixed Term sessional basis at 10 sessions per fortnight until 14/09/2027.
0.2 FTE available on a Fixed Term sessional basis at 4 sessions per fortnight until December 2026, with the possibility of extension.

As a General Medicine Consultant Physician you will:
- Lead the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist medical services to patients.
- Promote patient safety and quality of care.
- Provide leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for doctors in training, health service medical practitioners and other health workers.

In collaboration with the Head of Department and other Consultants, work to achieve national, state and South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) performance standards and targets.

Work within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the SMHS Area Medical Credentialing Committee.
