Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 12 months with the possibility of extension(s).

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/06/2026.


Position Profile:
Fiona Stanley Hospital Medical Imaging is the provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 sites in the south of Perth (Fiona Stanley Hospital, Fremantle Hospital and Rockingham Hospital).  

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic Radiology Fellow to join our Radiology Department. 

The Department is equipped with a full range of state-of-the-art imaging equipment across CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology and Breast Clinic. There is a wide range of interventional procedures performed, particularly in musculoskeletal, hepatobiliary, urological, breast and oncology intervention. 

Advanced Training Fellowship
The Department can accommodate up to seven advanced training fellowships in any of the following sub-specialities: Interventional Radiology, Body Imaging, Thoracic Imaging, Breast Imaging, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Musculoskeletal Radiology (2 fellows). 

There will be 7 positions available for 2027 in the following subspecialties:

  1. Abdominal Imaging Fellow                        February 2027 start
  2. Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellow                  February 2027 start
  3. MRI Fellow                                                 August 2027 start
  4. Musculoskeletal Fellow 1                           August 2027 start
  5. Musculoskeletal Fellow 2                           February 2027 start
  6. Breast Imaging Fellow                               February 2027 start
  7. Interventional Radiology (non Neuro)        February 2027 start

Advanced training fellowships are only available for candidates who have passed the Part II FRANZCR or equivalent.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. Fremantle Hospital (FH) is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services.

Rockingham Peel Group (RKPG) is part of the South Metropolitan Health Service, one of the fastest growing health services in Western Australia and comprises two hospital campuses, Rockingham General Hospital and Murray District Hospital, in addition to community and mental health services across Peel, Rockingham and Kwinana. As the flagship hospital, Rockingham General is focused on providing high quality general medical, surgical and mental health services as well as outpatient care. Murray District Hospital offers inpatient medical services, palliative care and allied health services.
