This is a Permanent Part Time appointment at 40 hours per fortnight (0.5 FTE).

Position Profile: We are seeking a General Practitioner to join our Infectious Diseases team at Perth Children's Hospital.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will provide expert vaccine safety and immunisation advice services to patients, families and the health services community throughout Western Australia. As part of the broader clinical team, you will support the specialist immunisation outpatient services at PCH for patients and families requiring specialist immunisation advice and care. You will promote patient quality and safety and provide leadership, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for doctors in training and other health workers in collaboration with other members of the PCH Immunisation team and the Infectious Diseases Head of Department.

Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre, PCH offers primary care for severe medical cases and secondary services such as inpatient, outpatient, and day-stay care. These services are provided in the community across the Perth metropolitan area at community health centres, in schools, home visits and through telehealth appointments. Services focus on child health, growth and development, behaviour, immunisation and supporting families.

CAHS is made up four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH).
