This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full-Time or Fixed Term Part-Time appointments for 12-24 months under the Short Term Training Pathway with RACP approval.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2026.
Position Profile:
The successful applicant(s) will provide a high quality, patient centred care to inpatients and outpatients while under the supervision of the Head of Department (HoD) and other supervising Consultants.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to review the medical needs of patients within Rockingham Peel Group (RkPG) and provide teaching and support, as appropriate to other Doctors in Training (DiT’s), Nursing and Allied Health staff and other multidisciplinary team members across the service.
Service provision is in accordance with departmental needs during normal working hours and as rostered for after hours and weekends as determined appropriate for service delivery and RACP training requirements.
Opportunities for General Medicine training:
International medical graduates (IMG’s) who are qualified specialists or specialists-in-training, who have satisfied all the training and examination requirements to practise in the field of General Medicine in their country of training and who intend to obtain a short period of training (up to 24 months) in General Medicine, are eligible to apply for this position under Short-term training pathway.

RkPG is part of the South Metropolitan Health Service, one of the fastest growing health services in Western Australia including Rockingham General Hospital (RGH) and Murray District Hospital (MDH) in addition to community and mental health services across Peel, Rockingham and Kwinana. RGH is focused on providing high quality general medical, surgical and mental health services as well as outpatient care. MDH offers inpatient medical services, palliative care and allied health services.
