About the role:

As an Emergency Medicine Consultant at Kalgoorlie Health Campus, you will have a crucial role in delivering comprehensive clinical services and leading a multi-disciplinary team to provide top-tier emergency care.

Within the ED at the Kalgoorlie Health Campus, you will lead, support, and educate multi-disciplinary teams consisting of Senior Medical Practitioners, Junior Medical Officers, nursing staff, administrative staff, and support staff. You’ll collaborate with organisations like the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the Rural Clinical School of Western Australia, and the WACHS Command Centre, you will work cohesively to manage the unique cases presented, all while delivering exceptional emergency care to the community.

Opportunities for progression, including the potential advancement to the role of Head of Department, are available for driven candidates who excel in this position.

About you:

You’re a seasoned Emergency Medicine Consultant with experience in rural or remote settings, ready to take the next step in your career. You’re not just seeking a job—you’re looking for a role with meaning, challenge, and the opportunity to make a real difference, particularly in Aboriginal health.

With a strong commitment to clinical excellence and collaborative care, you thrive in fast-paced environments and lead by example. You’re passionate about mentoring junior staff, working across disciplines, and improving health outcomes in underserved communities.

At Kalgoorlie Health Campus, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality emergency care while leading and supporting a multi-disciplinary team. You’ll collaborate closely with partners like the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the Rural Clinical School of WA to manage complex presentations in a uniquely diverse regional setting.
