Supervised Medical Officer

This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 6-12 months with the possibility of extension(s).

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/09/2026.


Position Profile: 
The successful applicants to the Supervised Medical Officer position in the Emergency Department are expected to manage Emergency patients and inpatients in the Emergency Department Short Stay Unit at a high standard of clinical care under the supervision of the ED Consultants.

Area Profile: 
Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) treats children from around Western Australia, and is committed to programs that promote lifelong health in children and adolescents. CAHS is made up of Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and Perth Children’s Hospital.

Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) opened in 2018 and is located on the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre site in Nedlands, Perth.

The 298-bed hospital provides tertiary-level and key secondary level health services, in inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory care settings to children and adolescents up to 16 years of age.
