Our vision is Excellent health care, every time. You can read more about SMHS in our Strategic Plan here.

Rockingham General Hospital is seeking a Consultant Geriatrician to join our Older Adult Medicine and Rehabilitation team.

About the Role

You will lead the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist medical services to patients. You will promote patient safety and quality of care. You will provide leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for doctors in training, health service medical practitioners and other health workers.

In collaboration with the Head of Department and other Consultants, you will work to achieve national, state and South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) performance standards and targets.

You will work within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the SMHS Area Medical Credentialing Committee.
