Salary: MP Year 1-9 $365,665 - $465,018 p.a. pro rata or $700.96 - $891.41 per session (inclusive of base salary and applicable allowances)
We are currently recruiting for dedicated Consultant Psychiatrists. The Rockingham Peel Group (RkPG) provides mental health services to adults and older adults across the Kwinana, Rockingham, Mandurah, Pinjarra and Waroona communities. Known collectively known as Peel Rockingham Kwinana Mental Health Service (PaRK MHS), this organisation is dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality care within a supportive work environment and culture.
PaRK Mental Health Service offers a broad suite of services tailored to meet diverse mental health care needs, including both inpatient (including ECT program) and community-based care. Speciality services available include emergency department liaison, consultation liaison, day therapy, hospital in the home, early episode psychosis, assertive community treatment, perinatal, GP liaison, drug and alcohol services, aboriginal mental health services, community step up and step down accommodation, amongst others. A range of therapeutic programs are available to support recovery including CBT, DBT, rehabilitation services and peer support. We take pride in our strong links with community partners and the wider community to provide coordinated and holistic care.
About the Role
The Consultant Psychiatrist at PaRK MHS is responsible for the mental health assessment, treatment, and management of patients with mental health illness. This includes the provision of service to patients' families and carers. You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team (MDT) environment and work closely with other other agencies to promote close community partnerships.
In this role, you will lead the MDT in delivering specialist mental health services to patients. You will promote patient safety and quality of care. You will provide leadership, orientation, training, supervision, and ongoing education, where relevant, for Doctors in Training, medical officers, and other health workers. You will also collaborate closely with the Director/Head of Department and fellow Consultants to achieve national, state and South Metropolitan Health Service performance standards and targets.
