This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 6-12 months with the possibility of extension(s).
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 08/10/2025.
Position Profile:
We are recruiting for a Registrar to provide high quality clinical service to hospital inpatients and outpatients. In this position, the successful applicant will also work under the supervision of consultant physicians and within a multi-disciplinary team to review the diabetes and endocrine care of inpatients or outpatients. They will provide teaching and support to Resident Medical Officers and medical students.
Applicants will be considered for various positions across the Metropolitan Health Service participating in the Inter-Hospital Rotating Scheme (IHRS) including: Royal Perth Hospital (RPH); Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH); and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH).
Area Profile:
Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) is Perth’s inner city, tertiary adult hospital and part of the Royal Perth Bentley Group. Home to the State Major Adult Trauma Service, RPH offers tertiary-level emergency medicine, mental health, complex and elective surgical care, and specialist medical services. It is also a premier teaching hospital and contributes to innovation and excellence in medical research and patient care.
Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical service including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.
